The attendance area is designed to track attendance for all types of club activities. Knowing the club-related activity level of your members will help with meeting and event planning and will also assist club leadership to better manage the club.
 
To access the attendance area:
Click on the Meeting & Events menu item on the left then click Attendance reports in the administration bar.
 
Below are the five different tabs in the attendance area and the purpose of each, where the data goes, and how the various items get into the attendance area.

Meetings

Purpose: To track attendance and hours (optional) at regular meetings as well as manage makeups. Makeups are imported from the other tabs in the attendance area by clicking the link in the text at the top of the page, or selecting the makeups for the members individually in the Makeup column. Tracking attendance is one way to gauge the engagement of your members.
 Where the data goes:

  • Data is imported into meeting attendance section of the Kiwanis Monthly Report (meeting section)
  • Data used by Attendance Statistics report

How are meetings added to the meetings attendance list:

  • Regular meetings from the Meeting & Events area automatically import into the list. If a regular meeting is missing, go to the Meeting & Events area and add it

Committee meetings

Purpose of section: To track the attendance and hours (optional) at committee meetings

Where the data goes:

  • Can import into the meeting attendance section (as makeups)
  • Data used by Attendance Statistics report (as makeups)

How are committee meetings added to the list?

  • Committee meetings from the Meeting & Attendance area automatically import into the list. If a committee meeting is missing, go to the Meeting & Events area and add it

Events

Purpose of section: To track attendance and hours (optional) at club events

Where the data goes:

  • Can import into the meeting attendance section (as makeups)
  • Can import into the service section of the Kiwanis monthly report
  • Data used by Attendance Statistics report (as makeups)

How are events added to the list:

  • Events from the Meeting & Events area automatically import into the list. The volunteers from the event will be automatically checked off as attending the event
  • Events can be manually added

Activities

Purpose of section: Activities can be looked at as a catch-all when the thing you want to record attendance for does not fit into any other category.

Where the data goes:

  • Can import into the meeting attendance section (as makeups)
  • Data used by Attendance Statistics report (as makeups)

How are activities added to the list:

  • They are manually added

Interclubs

Purpose of section: To record attendance and hours (optional) at interclub meetings

Where the data goes

  • Can import into the meeting attendance section (as makeups)
  • Can import into the interclub section of the Kiwanis Monthly Report
  • Data used by Attendance Statistics report (as makeups)

Where does the Interclub information come from:

  • Information is manually added
